Tropidil eye drops contains Tropicamide IP 0.8% + Phenylephrine Hydrochloride IP 5%as a sterile solution for topical ophthalmic use. Tropicamide is an anticholinergic class of drug which relaxes certain eye muscles resulting into dilation of iris. Phenylephrine is an α-1 adrenergic agonist drug which brings about dialysis of iris by acting on dilator muscle of the pupil and arterioles in the conjunctiva.Tropodil eye drops is prescribed for iris dilation which is necessary for diagnostic or therapeutic ophthalmic procedures.
Pack Presentation: Tropidil eye drops is supplied in white opaque plastic dropper bottle with a cap, containing 5ml of the solution.
