Tobamyn eye Ointment contains tobramycin 0.3% as a sterile ointment for topical ophthalmic use. Tobramycin belongs to aminoglycoside group of antibiotics. Tobramycin inhibits the formation of 70S which in return prevents the formation of protein required for cellular metabolism, resulting into cell death. Tobamyn eye ointment is prescribed for treatment of external infections of the eye and its adnexa caused by susceptible bacteria, ideal for night-time application.
